Dedicated to Bringing Business to Our Members

"BTA is dedicated to helping its members increase their group business through education, outreach, and targeted regional promotions, as well as fostering productive relationships between its members through networking opportunities.” BTA Mission Statement

The Baltimore Tourism Association (BTA) has been promoting group tourism in Baltimore metropolitan area for more than 30 years. Our membership includes attractions, museums, motorcoach companies, tour services, charters, theatres, restaurants, hotels, publications, marketing services and various state and local tourism agencies interested in bringing group business to Baltimore.

Networking
BTA meets on the second Thursday of each month at various members’ properties throughout the Baltimore metropolitan area. These meetings are a valuable opportunity for group sales professionals to network, share ideas, create itineraries, participate in round table discussions and discuss tourism issues. Click here to view our meeting schedule. BTA also informs its membership of the latest hospitality and tourism events in the area.

Outreach
BTA represents its membership at a variety of trade shows covering the student, senior and adult markets. Members can have their information distributed to group leaders and tour operators at these shows by participating in our cost-effective "stuffing” events. The BTA representative attending the show offers itinerary suggestions, takes part in sales calls and hands out information on your behalf, which is especially beneficial to members who do not have the budget to attend these trade shows.

Education
Our monthly meetings feature a variety of speakers who address opportunities in the group sales market. BTA also hosts educational seminars, which provide information and techniques for increasing sales and keeps its members informed of current legislation involving the tourism industry.

Marketing
BTA provides its members with affordable co-op adverting opportunities in major industry publications. BTA members can also participate in our newsletter that is distributed to tour operators and local industry professionals.
